Artist Biography

Seattle quintet Queensryche has always stood apart from other heavy metal bands through their artful progressive bent and intense observations of the world around them. Guitarists Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton formed Queensryche in 1981. Both of them decided they wanted to put together a heavy metal group that would play all original material. The duo recruited their high school friends, vocalist Geoff Tate, bassist Eddie Jackson, and drummer Scott Rockenfield to form the band Queensryche. The band grew into one of the most influential heavy metal bands of its kind with eleven albums released to date, live performances done around the world, and an amazing following and love from their fans. With the group now consisting of Mike Stone and all the original members except for DeGarmo, Queensryche is still making music and building their empire.
